Colt Multi-Caliber Weapon

The Colt Multi-Caliber Weapon (LE901-16S) is a semi-auto M4-style carbine. Its standard chambering is 7.62 NATO (.308 Win.), but it is also compatible with a 5.56 NATO (.223 Rem.) upper receiver. It was introduced at the 2012 SHOT Show as a new gun. Colt recommends it for anything from deer hunting to law enforcement to self-defense.

This M4 features a free-floating barrel, so as the barrel heats up and swells it won’t press against the frame, a one-piece monolithic upper receiver and a full-length Picatinny rail running along the top. However, it also has rails along the 3-, 6- and 9-o’clock positions on the handguards. Lastly, it has ambidextrous controls and fully adjustable VLTOR stock.
