CZ (Ceska Zbrojovka) 513 Basic

Description

The CZ 513 Basic is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .22 LR. The rifle shares many similarities with the CZ 452 series, and is essentially a cheaper model with stripped down features. It is marketed to first-time shooters. While every CZ 452 rifle comes with a trigger that is adjustable for weight of pull, the 513 basic does not. The gun also features a relatively simple buckhorn sight. CZ recommends the 513 Basic for hunting.

The CZ 513 features a beechwood stock that does not include checking like many of the CZ 452 models. The 513’s barrel is 20.9″ and has an overall length of 39″. The detachable magazine holds five rounds. The rifle’s more stripped down elements are found in the trigger (non-adjustable) and the basic tangent iron sights. All metal surfaces are finished in blued.

Česká zbrojovka translates as “Czech Army”, so it comes as no surprise then that CZ firearms has a long history of supplying weapons to militaries around the globe. The CZ name can be found on a variety of handguns, smallbore and bigbore rifles, military rifles and submachine guns.
