The Kimber Solo Carry is a small-frame semi-automatic pistol chambered for 9mm. The Solo is a concealable version of Kimber’s 1911.
The Solo has slightly different features from Kimber’s standard model. It is striker fired, so the trigger pushes the firing pin instead of a hammer. It has rounded edges, so it won’t snag on the user’s clothes when they draw, a manual ambidextrous safety, slide serrations for an easier pull back, and a self-lubricating finish.
The way it is similar is it has an ergonomically friendly, straightforward design, which is what made the 1911 such a hit. Kimber recommends the Solo for concealed carry.
