The Marlin Model 1894 is a lever-action hunting rifle chambered in .44 Rem. Mag. The Model 1894 is one of five centerfire rifles produced in Marlin’s 1894 series.
Features include a 20″ barrel that puts the overall length at 37.5″ and the rifle holds 10 rounds in its tubular magazine. It is made of steel and has all blued metal surfaces. The barrel has undergone Marlin’s Ballard-type rifling, which carves six deep and wide grooves that are supposed to help improve accuracy on high-power rifles. It’s a slow process that puts almost no stress on the metal. The stock is made of number 1 grade American black walnut and it has checkering on the fore-end and on the straight grip. The 1894 employs an adjustable folding rear sight and ramp front sight with brass bead and Wide-Scan brand hood. The 1894 includes a padded carry case and decorative sleeve.
Marlin says each 1894 Deluxe model is hand assembled and tuned by a Marlin senior craftsman. Marlin recommends Model 1894 for hunting large game.
