The Marlin Model 1894CSS is a lever-action hunting rifle chambered in .357 Mag. or .38 Special. The Model 336CSS is one of five centerfire rifles produced in Marlin’s 1894 series.
Features include 18.5″ barrel that puts its overall length at 36″ and it holds 9 rounds in its tubular magazine. 1894CSS’s barrel and receiver are made of stainless steel metal components. The barrel has undergone Marlin’s Ballard-type rifling, which carves six deep and wide grooves that are supposed to help improve accuracy on high-power rifles. It’s a slow process that puts almost no stress on the metal. The 1894CSS has an American black walnut stock with checkering on the fore-end and straight grip. The 1894CSS also employs an adjustable folding rear sight and ramp front sight with brass bead and Wide-Scan brand hood.
Marlin recommends Model 1894CSS for hunting large game.
