The Remington Model 1911 R1 Centennial is a semi-automatic large-frame handgun chambered in .45 ACP. The  Model 1911 R1 Centennial is a replica of the famous military pistol the 1911. It was the standard issue sidearm for the US Armed Forces from 1911 to 1985, and is still in use in some military branches today.

The Model 1911 R1 Centennial is a limited-production commemorative line released in exclusively in 2011. The Centennial features an engraved scroll on the front of the slide,  a dovetail brass bead front sight, and custom grips with a Remington medallion. The 1911 R1 Centennial includes two 7-round magazines, a Centennial Edition certificate, and a 1911 multi-tool.
