Remington Model 870 SPS ShurShot Synthetic Super Slug

The Remington Model 870 SPS ShurShot Synthetic Super Slug is a pump-action shotgun chambered in 12 gauge. The M870 is a family of pump-action shotguns with a variety of hunting and tactical models. The Super Slug differs greatly from the standard slug model, the Express Slug. The most obvious difference is the ShurShot stock, which is for ambidextrous use and has like a tactical pistol grip with a thumb groove. And a Super Cell recoil pad for added comfort. It has a heavy 25.5″ barrel that’s supposed to move less because it’s pinned to the receiver. The barrel is fully rifled and offers a 1 in 35″ twist, that is of course with the Remington recommended slugs, the Premier Accu Tip sabot slugs. And, it is drilled and tapped for a weaver rail, which is smaller than a Picatinny rail, but used for the same purpose: easy mounting of accessories. Remington recommends the Super Slug for hunting deer.
