SIG Sauer P220 Equinox

The Sig Sauer P220 Equinox is a semi-automatic large-framed pistol chambered for .45 ACP. The P220 Equinox is one of the 15 models in the P220 family, but what makes it different is that it’s a product of the Sig Sauer Custom Shop and features two-tone accented Nitron finished stainless steel slide and hard-anodized alloy frame. The P220 Equinox uses a Truglo brand Tritium fiber-optic front sight, which are brightly colored and glow in the dark, and Siglite brand rear night sight. The P220 Equinox includes gray laminated checkered wood grips and a Picatinny rail for easy mounting of accessories.

The P220 uses the same action as Browning’s Hi-Power pistol, which is a locked-breech system where the recoil is absorbed by a spring and guide rod rather than the frame.

Other features include a four-point safety system. This system includes decocking lever, so shooters can switch from a double-action or single-action trigger. It has a patented automatic firing pin safety block and a safety intercept notch, which is an internal safety block, and trigger bar disconnector.
