The Smith and Wesson M&P15 PC is a semi-automatic gas-operated rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO and .223 Rem. Gas-operated feeding systems capture gases released from the firing of a round and use this energy to push the bolt rearward, thereby ejecting the spent casing and chambering a new round. Smith and Wesson is the largest manufacturer of handguns in the United States. Headquartered in Springfield, Massachusetts, the company was founded in 1852 by Horace Smith and Daniel B. Wesson.
The M&P15 PC features a 10-round detachable magazine, an alloy receiver, an A2 camouflaged buttstock, and two top Picatinny rails. The M&P15 PC also employs a Hogue brand green pistol grip, and a camouflaged handguard. The M&P15 PC also employs a camouflage finish.
The M&P15 PC is recommended by S&W for competitive, recreational, and hunting.
