Smith & Wesson M&P15FT

Description

The Smith and Wesson M&P15FT is a semi-automatic gas-operated rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO and .223 Rem. Gas-operated feeding systems capture gases released from the firing of a round and use this energy to push the bolt rearward, thereby ejecting the spent casing and chambering a new round. Smith and Wesson is the largest manufacturer of handguns in the United States. Headquartered in Springfield, Massachusetts, the company was founded in 1852 by Horace Smith and Daniel B. Wesson.

The M&P15FT also employs a 10-round detachable magazine, an aluminum receiver, and a fixed buttstock. The M&P15 FT utilizes Troy brand folding battle sights, and includes top and bottom Picatinny rails for mounting accessories. The M&P15FT also includes a tactical handguard and 10-round magazine. Chromed components include barrel bore, gas key, bolt carrier, and chamber.

The M&P15FT is recommended for competitive shooting, recreational shooting, and hunting.
