The Stinger Manufacturing Liberator 9mm is a single-shot pocket pistol chambered for 9mm. The Liberator is actually a rare novelty. It’s a type of derringer, a pocket pistol that usually holds one or two rounds. Ideally the Liberator 9mm would be for concealed carry, but it lacks a practical design.
The Stinger Liberator in 9mm stems from the WWII GMC Liberator chambered for a .45-caliber cartridge. Yet, the Stinger Liberator, with a 1.875-inch barrel, is considerably shorter. Because of it’s size, weight and lack of grip, the Liberator is incredibly uncomfortable to shoot and impractical. It’s boxy and comparable in size to some semi-automatic pocket pistols.
