Chicago police recently discovered what local media outlets are describing as a “sniper nest” near Kennedy King College on the south side of the city, but the alleged “high-powered semi-automatic rifle” they found was in fact a MAC-10 submachine gun. Read more
The deputy found himself on the ATF’s radar for the machine gun purchase following a shootout earlier this year. Suspicions solidified when agents raided his house in March. They seized the machine gun in question, at which point Spicer lied to agents and said he was a police officer at the Jackson Township Police Department.
In the second Congressional hearing on the questionable practices used in sting operations conducted by the ATF, committee members drilled Director Todd Jones and perhaps created even greater frustrations as Jones struggled to answer many of their fundamental questions. Read more
