The Colt Dragoon is a 44 ball firing six-round chambered revolver first produced in 1848. The Dragoon was designed in response to a number of problems with the Colt Walker, namely the Walker’s heavy weight and propensity for chambers to explode. The Dragoon has a 7.5” barrel and weighs in at just over four pounds. Popular among civilians in the 1850s and 60s, the Colt Dragoon was also used during the Civil War.
