An upgraded variation of the Model 38 Bodyguard Airweight the Smith Wesson Model 638 is a small centerfire J-frame revolver with a simple design that is easy to use yet reliable. It features a 5-round capacity lightweight alloy frame and stainless steel barrel and cylinder shrouded hammer synthetic grip and steel ramp front and fixed rear sights. Chambered in 38 Special its also rated for continuous P use while the snag-free design and easy handling make the Model 638 a popular choice for concealed carry.
