A double-action revolver built on the medium-sized L-frame the Smith Wesson Model 686 is known for its durability and reliability and is a trusted choice for many police personnel. Available with wood or rubber grips and in a number of barrel lengths this revolver is chambered in 357 Mag and is built to withstand heavy use while the stainless steel frame cylinder and barrel resist rust and corrosion. Other features include 6-round and 7-round capacities and a red ramp front sight and adjustable white outline rear sight. In addition to law enforcement the Model 686 is often used by hunters and is a suitable choice for home defense.
