Like the 1917 the Model 22 was made to accept rimless pistol cartridges with the use of moon clips and is chambered in 45 ACP. The double-action revolver is built on the large N-frame has a swing-out cylinder and blade front and notched rear sights. The Model 22 has been produced in several variations over the years.
