The Colt 1991 is a semi-automatic handgun and direct descendant of the original M1911. Available in a number of calibers and finishes this pistol like the 1911 has a spur hammer flat mainspring housing and long trigger as well as a grip and thumb safety. Other features include a lowered ejection port and 3-dot sights. The 1991 is built on a carbon steel frame and slide and proven a reliable and rugged pistol thats suitable for self-defense.

Details

The Colt 1991 series is a direct descendant of the original Colt M1911. A long trigger flat mainspring housing and original style recoil spring system remain from the original M1911 design. The Series 8 Government pistols have a 5quot barrel and feature high profile sights with dots a lowered ejection port for extra reliability a spur hammer solid aluminum trigger a standard safety lock and a standard grip safety.
