Introduced in 2010, nearly two decades after the release of the original Glock 17, the G17 Gen 4 is a semi-automatic handgun chambered in 9mm that features an upgraded recoil spring assembly and improved ergonomics, as well as a rough-textured frame and checkered grip for positive hold. The grip size of this pistol is slightly smaller than its predecessor, the G17 Gen 3, although the modular back strap allows for instant customization and fit for different hand sizes. The enlarged magazine catch of the G17 Gen 4 can quickly and easily be changed to accommodate right- or left-handed shooters, while a built-in accessory rail makes for easy customizations.
