Further improving on ergonomics and reliability the Glock G17 Gen 5 was introduced in 2017 is chambered in 9mm. Its lightweight design reliability and ease of use make it popular among law enforcement. Improved features include an ambidextrous slide stop nDLC finish on the barrel and slide a flared magazine well and the reintroduction of the half-moon shaped cutout on the front bottom of the grip. The magazines for the G17 Gen 5 were also redesigned to feature a frontward lip for easier extraction.

The GLOCK 17 Gen5 is the latest example of GLOCKs constant pursuit of perfection. The latest version of GLOCKs original model features over 20 design modifications from the G17 Gen4 including the GLOCK Marksman Barrel an nDLC finish ambidextrous slide stop levers a grip with no finger grooves and a flared mag-well. These changes deliver improved accuracy durability performance control and flexibility whether you are on the range or in a situation where fractions of a second matter.
