Further improving on ergonomics and reliability the Glock G17 Gen 5 was introduced in 2017 is chambered in 9mm. Its lightweight design reliability and ease of use make it popular among law enforcement. Improved features include an ambidextrous slide stop nDLC finish on the barrel and slide a flared magazine well and the reintroduction of the half-moon shaped cutout on the front bottom of the grip.
