The slim, lightweight design of the Ruger LC9 makes it a popular choice for concealed carry. Chambered in 9mm with a standard 7+1 capacity magazine and removable finger-grip extension floorplate, the barrel and slide of this American-made semi-automatic handgun are constructed from blued alloy steel. The double-action compact pistol with a bobbed hammer also features a glass-filled nylon grip frame, stippled to provide added comfort and better grip, and a dovetailed sight system. Standard safety features include a visual indicator that shows whether a round is in the chamber. With a width of 0.90”, overall length of 6”, height of 4.5”, and weight of 17.2 oz., the LC9 is only slightly larger than the Ruger LCP, another favored choice for self-defense.
