A scaled down version of the full-sized MP22 the Smith Wesson MP22 Compact is a semi-automatic handgun that is internal hammer-fired and blowback-operated. Chambered in 22 LR with a 101 capacity this American made firearm features an ambidextrous safety and reversible magazine release as well as a threaded barrel and built-in Picatinny-style accessory rail. A magazine safety prevents accidental discharge when the magazine is released. The MP22 Compact was primarily designed for training as well as target and recreational shooting.
