The Ruger American Rimfire Compact is a bolt-action rifle with the same features as the American Rimfire Standard along with an 18 barrel. The free-floating barrel is cold hammer-forged for accuracy longevity and easy cleaning and the rifle also includes interchangeable pull stock modules for both scope and iron sight use. The receiver is drilled and tapped for a Weaver base and a 38 rimfire scope base is machined into the receiver. Available in 22 LR 17 HMR and 22 WMR the American Rimfire Compact also features a synthetic stock visible tang safety and receiver-mounted bolt release for easier and safer removal of the bolt.
