The Marlin® 336Y Youth Lever-Action Rifle is ideal for getting young hunters active in hunting deer or hogs at close to medium range. The 336Y has a pistol-grip, wood-laminate buttstock and fore-end, and a blued steel barrel and receiver. The buttstock and barrel are both slightly shorter than a standard model to accommodate shooters of smaller stature. The 16-1/4" barrel has Micro-Groove rifling to deliver optimum accuracy with jacketed hunting bullets. The full-length magazine tube holds 5 rounds of .30-30 Win. cartridges, which are loaded through a loading port on the side of the receiver. The receiver utilizes side ejection, which simplifies scope mounting, and the gun comes drilled and tapped for attaching a scope mount. The Marlin 336Y features a semi-buckhorn, folding rear side and a brass bead front sight, protected by a Wide-scan hood. A receiver-mounted, cross-bolt safety effectively blocks the hammer from hitting the firing pin. Sling swivel studs allow for the attachment of a rifle sling for convenient hands-free carry in the field. The Marlin 336Y is a traditional lever-action rifle that handles quickly to deliver rapid fire with a proven big game hunting cartridge. Made in USA.
