Considering this rifle was manufactured in 1890 (by serial #) making it 130 years old it is in excellent contrition, but overall I rate it at about 65% hopefully the pictures will show the condition. The wood has normal weathering and the butt plate is there and in tact. The rear sight however has been changed at some time. The previous owner had had the rifle for 50+ years and it is as he acquired it.This is the 22 short only rifle with the corncob hand guard and does shoot pretty darned well, but the loading is not the smoothest. Does load okay but not the smoothest. All in all, for what it is and the age it would do you well in your collection
