Also known as the Type 56, the Norinco MAK-90 Sporter is a Chinese AK-style rifle exported to the United States from 1990 to 1994. It is primarily chambered in 7.62x39mm and rarely seen chambered in 5.56x45mm (5.56 NATO), with a 5-round magazine. This rifle features a thumb-hole wood stock and a 16.34” barrel, with an overall length of 35.1”. The MAK-90 Sporter weighs just over 8 pounds.
