The Remington Model 597 is a rimfire semi-automatic rifle intended for training plinking and hunting small game. It features a reliable bolt guidance system with twin tool-steel guide rails solid receiver with integral 11mm dovetail rail unique positive locking rigid barrel attachment clamp last-shot hold open bolt for additional safety and Teflon and nickel-plated sear and hammer for crisp trigger pulls. The Model 597 is available in a variety of configurations and may come with a wood or synthetic stock and 16.5 or 20 barrel.
