A single-shot, lever-action, centerfired rifle, the Ruger No.1 is built around a compact and simple, yet strong, falling-block breech mechanism with artillery-style breechblock. The sculpted receiver is robust and sturdy, offering rigid support for the barrel, stock, and sliding breech block, while the Ruger’s patented Scope Mounting System ensures scope bases never get loose. The sliding tang safety is easily accessible and visible. Available in a number of different calibers and barrel lengths, as well as with a black laminate or walnut stock, the No. 1 is also made with a sporting-style recoil pad, grip cap, and sling swivel studs.
