A single-shot, lever-action, centerfired rifle, the Ruger No.1 is built around a compact and simple, yet strong, falling-block breech mechanism with artillery-style breechblock. The sculpted receiver is robust and sturdy, offering rigid support for the barrel, stock, and sliding breech block, while the Ruger’s patented Scope Mounting System ensures scope bases never get loose. The sliding tang safety is easily accessible and visible. Available in a number of different calibers and barrel lengths, as well as with a black laminate or walnut stock, the No. 1 is also made with a sporting-style recoil pad, grip cap, and sling swivel studs.
The 50th Anniversary edition features floral scroll and punch dot engraving on the receiver with a gold inlaid border on the sides gold Ruger commemorative logo and gold signature of William Ruger on the bottom. The sides of the lever are bordered with gold inlay and there are thin, wide gold bands around the muzzle and breech ends of the barrel. Ramped beaded blade front sight and adjustable single folding leaf rear sight mounted on the quarter rib. Alexander Henry-style forearm and Ruger recoil pad and sling swivel studs.
