This black-powder muzzle loader is more than just a pretty face, it is a fully functional replica of the famous Hawkin Rifle. Known for accuracy and long range this was a popular “Mountain Man” Gun. Used by Theodore Roosevelt and popularized by Robert Redford in the hit movie Jeremiah Johnson. This rifle is in very good condition & can be fired by those who know how to properly use it. The push rod is partially broken, could be repaired by a skilled wood worker. These are very popular display rifles & look fantastic in the den, office, man cave or of course living room above the fireplace. A quality piece produced by Thompson Center this rile is as deadly and real a gun as it a beautiful example of timeless Americana. With care this rifle will last multiple generations. It looks as good hanging in a Cabin today as they did 200 years ago and will look just as good in another 200 years. Comes as you see pictured.
