MillerCoors Donates to Whitetails Unlimited after Hazy Deer Season

If you’re a reader than you’ll know that it’s no secret the cast here at Guns.com likes to hunt.  What you probably don’t know about us is that, like good hearty Midwestern men, we also like to pound a few cold ones (mind you, never at the same time though).

So it was the confluence of two of our favorite pastimes when MillerCoors presented a monster check to Whitetails Unlimited.  Unbeknownst to us (or, more accurately, unobserved by us because advertisements for this program were all over the packaging) MillerCoors and their Wisconsin distributors are donating half a buck for every 30-pack of the Miller High Life or Miller High Life Light sold at retail outlets.  On top of that they kicked in a nickel for every pint, bottle or can slung across a tavern bar-top during October and November.  In total, the program raised $50,000.  And we all helped.

The donation will advance such programs as White Tails Unlimited’s Whitetail Watch, Project POLITE and their stellar Comprehensive Deer Management, all worthy pursuits which propel WTU’s mission of education, conservation, and the preservation of an American tradition.

The partnership between WTU and MillersCoors also porters more ambitious initiative called Every Beer Pours Back. In Wisconsin, MillerCoors employs and economically impacts more than 3,000 people, with a payroll of more than $175 million and this innovative concept focuses on improving the quality of life in a state where MillerCoors makes a significant economic impact.
