Las Vegas Opens Museum Dedicated to the City's History with the Mafia

This past Feb. 14 marked the 83rd-year-anniversay of the St. Valentine’s Day massacre and in honor of the occasion the city of Las Vegas opened a new museum specifically dedicated to teaching the public the true history of the mafia in Sin City.
The museum’s highlights include photos of the mob’s greatest hits, a lesson on how to load a revolver and a display of some of the mafia’s more creative killing devices. The museum is built in an old federal courthouse, specifically where, in the early 1950s, the seventh of 14 U.S. Senate hearings on organized crime was held. These hearings are what introduced most Americans to the mafia.
