You Could Win a Rifle, Pistol, or Trip for 2 with Ruger's "I Took the Challenge" Contest

At the NRA Annual Meetings in April of last year, Ruger pledged to donate $1 to the NRA for every gun sold bearing the Ruger name between the 2011 and 2012 with a goal of donating $1,000,000 to America’s oldest civil rights organization throughout the year.
Ruger probably won’t fulfill this tall task (this year), but no matter, because they are now offering one lucky Ruger purchaser and their friend a trip for two to the 2012 NRA Annual Meetings. Eight runners up will win a Ruger GunSite Scout Rifle or a Ruger SR1911.
To enter, Ruger purchasers should go to the “I Took the Challenge” website and submit a 400-word essay about why they chose to purchase a Ruger along with a photo of their new firearm. Submissions must be received by the end of the during the 1 Million Gun Challenge. Ruger will select eight finalists and then America will get a chance to vote for their favorite story and decide who wins the trip to the 141st NRA Annual Meetings this April in St. Louis, MO.
