On Monday the State Supreme Court ruled that students and employees on University of Colorado campuses who have concealed weapons permits may legally carry while on campus.
The university policy established by school regents in 1994 banned concealed carry on campus, gun rights advocates had challenged the policy saying that the University’s governing board had superseded state gun laws.
What the State Supreme Court failed to address during their ruling was whether or not the 2nd Amendment allows students to carry on campus. Instead, they ruled that the regents were in violation of the Concealed Carry Act, which allows those with a permit to carry “in all areas of the state” with few exceptions including K-12 school and building, such as courthouses, with fixed security checkpoints.
While few of us ever thought we’d have a blacked-out lever-action hunting rifle on our wish list, here we are with not one, but two. The Marlin Dark series was followed by the Henry X-Model, both American-made levers.
