Updates in the Trayvon Martin Case Suggest Martin was the Aggressor

Police have revealed new details in the controversial Trayvon Martin case that support George Zimmerman’s claim that he was acting in self-defense when he shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

According to authorities Trayvon was the aggressor. Reports say that the teenager punched Zimmerman then climbed on top of him slamming his head into the sidewalk. Zimmerman told police he had turned around and was walking back toward his vehicle when Trayvon approached him from behind, the two exchanged words, and then Trayvon punched Zimmerman in the nose and began beating him.

Eyewitness and police corroborate the story. One witness stated that Martin was on top of Zimmerman, striking him while the older man called out for help. When police arrived on the scene, they say that Zimmerman was bleeding from the nose, had a fat lip and that the back of his head was cut.
