Team Benelli Shooter Taran Butler Takes Championship Title at Superstition Mountain Mystery 3 Gun

This weekend at the national annual Superstition Mountain Mystery 3 Gun match hosted at the Rio Salado Sportsman’s Club in Mesa, Arizona Team Benelli shooter Taran Butler enjoyed an impressive win.

Butler, a Grand Master shooter, 6-time Fort Benning Tactical and Open Champion and five-time USPSA Multi-Gun National Tactical Champion took first place in the Tactical Scope division. Benelli shooter Katie Harris took the title of Lady Champion and placed second in the Junior division.

“I had a great weekend, winning on my 11th title in a row at Superstition Mystery Mountain 3 Gun Championship,” said Butler. “Without Benelli’s support I wouldn’t be able to achieve what I’ve done.”

The 2012 Superstition Mountain 3 Gun match saw more than 350 of the top 3-gun competitors, with over 200 competing against Butler in the Tactical Scope division. The Superstition Mountain Mystery 3 Gun match is considered the longest running and most popular 3 Gun match in the world and marked the beginning of the 3 Gun Nation Tour.
