Discovery Channel launches new season of "American Guns" (VIDEO)

Discovery Channel will once again air a season of “American Guns” later this month. The show, which is largely overshadowed by the popular “Sons of Guns” and often confused by google with “American Chopper,” follows a typical American family who just happen to own and operate a successful firearms facility in Colorado.

“This season of American Guns is full of historical, iconic and completely outrageous weapons,” the Discovery Channel said in a press release.

Gunsmoke, the business the show centers on, is run by Rich Wyatt, dream dad, gunsmith and master firearms instructor, his lovely wife Renee, a take-no-prisoner business woman and momma bear with a heart of gold, their 17-year-old daughter Paige, a sassy cowgirl whose aim is as deadly as her looks, and their son Kurt will be there too.

“We’ve got a lot of projects going on here at Gunsmoke,” Rich said.

Projects like an Axe Gun, Mare’s Leg Lever Action Pistol, 20 MM Avalanche Rifle, Double-Barreled Cannon, and a Punt Gun.

It’s so busy for them, in fact, Renee had to add, “We’re all going to have to step it up here a little bit.”

The show will air at a new day and time, Wednesday April 25 at 9pm.
