James Bond 'Skyfall' Trailer Shows Off Guns, Explosions, and Guns

The trailer for the upcoming James Bond movie, “Skyfall,” has recently hit the web. For those of you who haven’t seen it yet, allow us to give you a brief synopsis of its contents:

Gun, gun, gun, car, crash, train, sniper rifle, TERRORISTS, zombie, scorpion, gun, TERRORISTS, England, nerd, Walther, guns, guns, guns, China, tits, guns, explosions, guns, guns, explosion, guns, karate, guns, guns, cars, nerd, sex, motorcycle, sex, helicopter, guns, guns.

We love pretty much everything on that list (except for terrorists – nobody likes terrorists), most notably all of those lovely, lovely guns. We can’t even begin to compile a complete list of the movie’s firearms, especially since most of them are only shown in half-second flashes.

What do know for certain, however, is that James Bond’s iconic Walther PPK 9mm short makes a reappearance, though this time it’s been given a super-tech upgrade. The much younger and trendier Q explains to Bond, “It’s been coded to your palm print. Only you can fire it. Less of a random killing machine, more of a personal statement.” Sexy!

The trailer’s also got a truckload worth of pistols, a sniper rifle, a few shotguns, automatic rifles, and they’ve even got what appears to be a flintlock pistol in there because, you know, why not? Sadly, we didn’t spot any rocket launcher-equipped motorcycles or sports cars with hidden machine guns. We suppose that England broke the bank hosting the Olympics, so they’ll have to do a bit of low-budget world saving this time around.

If you’re curious, Wikipedia has a full list of every gun that James Bond has ever used, from his Beretta 418 in Ian Fleming’s first novel to the ASP 9mm that dominated the movies of the 80s and 90s.

We don’t know what new guns to be added to that ever-growing list, but we can assure you that we’ll be there on opening day to find out.
