The former Navy SEAL and best-selling author of “American Sniper” Chris Kyle and a friend died yesterday in Erath County, Texas. Guns.com had a chance to meet and interview Kyle just two weeks ago at SHOT Show 2013 where he shared his views with us on current events.

Kyle was an operator and sniper with SEAL Team 3, served four tours in Iraq, and throughout his entire combat experience he is credited with 160 confirmed kills, the most in U.S. military history. He was awarded two Silver Stars, five Bronze Stars with Valor, two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and one Navy and Marine Corps commendation. He’s also an entrepreneur, TV show host, father, husband and overall good guy.
