Dianne Feinstein Compares AR Owners to Pedophiles (VIDEO)

In a heated exchange during a Senate Judiciary Hearing on Capitol Hill yesterday, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) argued back and forth over a few simple questions posed by Cruz on the Second Amendment.

“The question that I would pose to the senior senator from California is,” Cruz said, “Would she deem it consistent with the Bill of Rights for Congress to engage in the same endeavor that we are contemplating doing with the Second Amendment in the context of the First or Fourth Amendment, namely, would she consider it constitutional for Congress to specify that the First Amendment shall apply only to the following books and shall not apply to the books that Congress has deemed outside the protection of the Bill of Rights?”

Before answering Cruz directly, Feinstein first took personal offense to the Senator’s line of questioning, claiming she was not a ‘6th grader.’  Feinstein continued to chide Cruz for somehow insulting her qualifications as a lawmaker.  After Feinstein finished her personal rant, Cruz repeated his question, asking her if she could reconcile limiting specific speech in the name of the First Amendment, as she is trying to do with specific firearms in the Second Amendment.  Her answer was ‘yes’ — child pornography is not protected by the Constitution.   So according to Feinstein, AR owners who are similar to pedophiles, shouldn’t be protected under the U.S. Constitution.
