Gravely Wounded Soldier's Battlefield Plea to Female Medic: 'Show Me Your Boobs'

xlarge

Pvt. Emily Tomkins is a British Army medic who received a medal of bravery this past week for her actions in Helmand, Afghanistan where she treated a gravely wounded soldier who had just lost both of his legs from a Taliban explosive device.

After initially getting a shot of morphine from Tomkins, the soldier begged for more.  When Tomkins refused the soldier more morphine in fear it would kill him, he looked up at her and said, “Well do something useful and show me your boobs.”  Kindly ignoring the soldier’s request, Tomkins continued treatment and was credited with saving his life.

Tomkins explained, “I was just doing my job.”
