MSNBC Panelist Claims NRA Trying to "Incite a Riot" (VIDEO)

According to a panelist on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” the National Rifle Association’s CEO and Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre was attempting to “incite a riot,” at the organization’s 2013 annual convention.

In an effort to highlight the weekend gathering in Houston, TX, co-host Mika Brzezinski opened the show insisting the NRA used words like “battle,” “war,” and “stand and fight,” in a bid to provoke its members to take direct action regarding looming gun-control legislation.

Referencing LaPierre’s statement concerning the Boston bomber manhunt, panelist Mike Barnicle asserted, “No one in Watertown or Boston or Cambridge was sitting behind their doors frightened as Wayne LaPierre points out. He is the frightened citizen. He is frightened of losing what power he has.”

Barnicle claimed “most people” in Boston were “perfectly happy” to let heavily armed authorities manage the dangerous situation that developed on their streets last month. To that end, the panelists went on to agree LaPierre did not represent “law-abiding citizens that care about their rights and their guns.”

Moreover, said Barnicle, “There’s a deliberate intent to mislead on the part of the NRA leadership. To mislead and to incite to riot almost.”
