Israel's Crap Cannon of Peace (PHOTOS+VIDEO)

Israeli Defense Forces have ushered in a new era of fighting dirty.

Experimenting with scent-based crowd control since 2004, David Ben Harosh, head of technological development for the Israeli police, has refined a concoction of noxious rot and sewage which can be fired from a water cannon. Although non-toxic, the stank doesn’t wash off easily and is said to linger on clothes for up to five years. The “Skunk,” as it’s called,  stems from Israeli forces that are often charged with disproportionate force in clashes with Palestinian protestors. Hence, the “Skunk” is reportedly a kinder gentler type of crowd control. And according to the inventors, they plan on marketing the system to other forces worldwide…which stinks if you ask me.
