Teen Pleads Guilty to Personal Jihad

Terror2The FBI says a North Carolina man spoke of killing U.S. Army soldiers as part of a personal jihad has pleaded guilty to possession of a stolen firearm.

In an affidavit filed with the court, FBI Special Agent Frank Brostrom said the 19-year-old Erwin Antonio Rios of Fayetteville held extremist Islamic views and told informants he wanted to kill FortBragg soldiers.

The wanna-be jihadist plotted to travel overseas to commit violence and even devised a half-baked scheme to rob banks in order to get money to buy weapons. The FBI set up a sting where Rios bought a β€œstolen” handgun and was promptly arrested – putting a temporary end to his visions of murderous grandeur.
