Machete-Wielding Man Shot Dead by Cops (VIDEO)

In a bizarre incident over the weekend, a machete-wielding man rampaged through a police station parking lot and was shot and killed by cops.

Charles Curl, 46, of Los Angeles, walked into the Inglewood Police Department’s parking lot Saturday night and smashed the windows of eight squad cars with a machete. The shooting occurred shortly after the man damaged the vehicles.

According to Sgt. Nelson Arriaga of the Inglewood PD:

“The officer saw that the suspect had already broken the windows of several police vehicles and he was utilizing a large bladed weapon to vandalize the police vehicles. As the officer attempted to contact the suspect, the armed suspect charged the officer in a threatening manner, and an officer-involved shooting occurred.”

Curl was transported to a hospital where he later died of his wounds. As of yet, his motive remains unknown.
