91-year-old WWII Vet Breaks World Record for Bench Pressing (VIDEO)

As if being a 91-year-old World War II veteran isn’t super cool enough already, Sy Perlis upped the ante when he broke the World Association of Benchers and Deadlifters’ record last week by bench pressing an impressive 187.2 pounds, a record for the 90-and-over division.

Perlis has also won a state title and two world championships, but was not able to compete in 2012 after undergoing surgery for a pacemaker.

And as if that’s not jaw-dropping enough on its own, Perlis didn’t even start weight-lifting until he was 60-years-old.

I guess some men just don’t know when to quit, but then again, why should he?
