Obama's Father's Day Tweet Draws Anger

President Obama has angered some with a Father’s Day tweet depicting a toy water pistol fight with one of his daughters (by the way, the image is at least a year old)

The Tweet comes in a time when many schools across the nation have launched toy gun trade-ins. One such program took place last weekend Strobridge Elementary in California. Principal Charles Hill, who organized the event claimed: “Playing with toys guns, saying ‘I’m going to shoot you,’ desensitizes [children], so as they get older, it’s easier for them to use a real gun.”

Yih-Chau Chang, a spokesperson for Responsible Citizens of California, suggests school administrators should calm down with their anti-gun hysteria, writing: “Perhaps the national conversation on this issue will take a new turn now that President Obama has seemingly weighed in on the issue.”
