Meet Atlas, Boston Dynamics terrifyingly enormous humanoid robot (VIDEO)
Boston Dynamics has revealed the newest edition to their advanced animal like robot line this week. Called Atlas, this six-foot two-inch-tall 330 pound machine has articulated hands and joints and has been labeled one of the most advanced robots ever built. Following its predecessors Alpha Dog and Petman, Atlas is able to dynamically adjust to varied terrain and movable objects.
As the robots energy source becomes more manageable and mobile, these robots are expected to be seen in real world scenarios in the matter of a handful of years.
