Sneaking Peeks at Transparent 80 Percent Lower

This is an upcoming 80 percent lower from EP Lowers. EP Lowers’ lowers use a combination of colored plastics to show off what material needs removing and what home gunsmiths must leave behind.

These are considered “jigless lowers” and need almost no special tools to complete.

I still have to wonder how these will stand up to regular use. Clear polymers tend to be brittle and inflexible. Still, between these and the new transparent Magpul iPhone cases the see-through AR has got to be around the corner.

For more about this and other jigless lowers check out the EP Lowers Facebook page.
