Problem? Hornets. Solution? Flame-thrower! (VIDEO)

New Chinese proverb: “Anti-aircraft guns to fight mosquitoes — a waste of talent.” A LiveLeak user posted a news segment about the Chinese military rolling out a flamethrower unit to take care of a hornet’s nest.

To be fair, the nest was about five feet in diameter and had so many hornets living in it that the local villagers of Jiangjin Tsz Wan Yuen Tsuen had to avoid the area or risk being stung. A lot.

The military was rolled out after a person was stung to death by the hornets, after the fire department was unable to smoke out the hive.

This year more than two dozen people have been killed by these hornets.

Oh, and did we mention that they’re gigantic?

So yeah, flamethrowers.

Problem solved, problem staying solved.
